In addition to the meta-theme of the transience of phenomena, the video work Stumbling Waters refers to manifestations of destruction, whether in nature or in a metaphorical reference to global social developments that transform a peaceful flow of life into turbulent upheavals; which have consequences, leave traces and thus a changed world; even if there are no phases of destruction that are not also subject to transience.

The images included here are [unedited] still frames taken with a hand-held camera during the storms that hit Europe in 2024. A gentle stream overflows its banks, mingles with the torrential rain and the debris washed free and becomes a torrent of water that rushes down the road and damages it heavily.
Fading from and into black turns each of the sequences playing in parallel on different flat screens into a loop. All of them have different durations – from around one to six minutes – and they form the parts of a video installation that creates different temporal rhythms and an interference of a row of ephemeral development phases.
Seven experimental short films are planned. They may also develop into an experimental short film.
